OBJECTbox - Kunst zum Anfassen

OBJECTbox brings together small-scale series that emerge from different bodies of work. Their starting point is a selection of original motifs, forms and visual worlds that are extracted from existing artworks, transformed and placed into a new context.

Each OBJECTbox develops an independent artistic format from a specific series of works. Characteristic elements of the original artworks are reinterpreted, hand-finished, cut out, painted, assembled and brought together in limited editions as transformable art objects.

Unlike a finished, self-contained artwork, an OBJECTbox remains open to change and interaction. Its elements can be rearranged, recombined and re-staged, creating ever-changing relationships between image, object and space.

OBJECTboxes deliberately retain the spirit of the studio. Visible traces of craftsmanship, simple materials, small irregularities and individual interventions give each series its own personality. The focus is not on industrial perfection, but on a direct connection to the artistic process.

In this way, motifs from the original artworks evolve into independent small-scale series situated between artwork, object and play — open to discovery, participation and ever-new perspectives.
